Your face tells your story, and fine lines or volume loss shouldn’t rewrite it.
BBL Photofacial in Dallas, TX
Expression lines often show up when you frown, raise your brows, or squint. Botox injections temporarily relax selected muscles, helping soften lines caused by repeated movement.
At Dallas Premier Plastic Surgery, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Deniz Basci and her team offer Botox to patients across Dallas and the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area. A consultation helps you understand which treatment areas fit your goals.
What Is a BBL Photofacial?
BBL stands for BroadBand Light, an intense pulsed light technology developed by Sciton. It uses filtered light pulses to target unwanted pigment and small, visible blood vessels. The light converts to heat within these targets, helping reduce discoloration and create a more even complexion.
Although sometimes called a BBL laser treatment, BBL uses multiple wavelengths of light rather than a laser beam.
Am I a Candidate for BBL Photofacial?
You may be a candidate if you have sun-related discoloration or facial redness and want improvement without an extended recovery. Your skin tone, the cause of the discoloration, and your recent sun exposure help determine whether treatment is appropriate.
During your consultation, we review your skin concerns, medical history, medications, and previous treatments. Tell us about any medication that increases light sensitivity or any active irritation or infection.
BBL is not suitable for every skin tone. Darker or recently tanned skin requires particular caution because pigment in the surrounding skin can absorb the light, increasing the risk of burns and unwanted color changes.
What Happens During Treatment?
Your skin is cleansed, and protective eyewear is placed before treatment begins. The provider applies the handpiece to the planned areas using settings selected for your skin and concerns.
You may feel brief warmth or a snapping sensation with each pulse. Cooling helps manage discomfort, and topical numbing may be used when appropriate. Appointment length depends on the size and number of areas treated.
BBL Photofacial Recovery and Aftercare
Temporary redness, warmth, and mild swelling can occur after treatment. Many patients return to work and routine activities soon afterward, although the skin may remain sensitive. Treated brown spots often darken before gradually fading or flaking away.
Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer, and avoid picking or scrubbing treated areas. Protect your skin with broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher and limit direct sun exposure. Follow our instructions about restarting exfoliating products, strenuous exercise, and other activities that may irritate healing skin.
Less common complications include blistering, burns, pigment changes, and scarring. Contact our office if you develop blisters, broken skin, or worsening discomfort.
Benefits of BBL Photofacial
BBL can address several types of visible discoloration within one treatment plan. Depending on your skin and the settings used, potential benefits include:
- Fading sun spots, age spots, and freckles
- Reducing the appearance of small facial blood vessels
- Improving certain types of facial redness, including redness associated with rosacea
- Creating a more even-looking skin tone
Treatment can also address suitable areas beyond the face, such as the neck, chest, and hands. The expected improvement depends on the concern being treated and your skin’s response.
How Much Does BBL Photofacial Cost in Dallas?
BBL Photofacial cost depends on the treatment area, the extent of discoloration, and the number of sessions recommended. Treating the face alone may differ in cost from treating the face, neck, and chest together.
Once we establish your treatment plan, we can provide a personalized estimate.
